Snowball Wood Musical Box
A snowball fight in the white and wintery Salzburg and the solemn bells of a sleigh in the distance inspired the creators of the first special edition of the Mozartkugel Wooden Music Box.
This Musical Box series is named after Mozartkugel – a small, round sugar confection made of pistachio, marzipan, and nougat covered with dark chocolate. It was known initially as Mozart-Bonbon, created in 1890 by confectioner Paul Fürst and named after the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The creation techniques of these music boxes are meticulous. First, the mechanical 18-note chime is inserted into blocks of indigenous woods sustainably gathered from local forestry. Then the solid wood block is handcrafted into its perfect ball shape by the family’s master wood turner. Finally, every music box reaches its elegant surface through manual grinding and polishing. Natural oils of premium quality awaken the unique character of the wood, while the musical movement inside brings to life ‘Voi che sapete’ – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s poignant declaration of love to love!
The Mozartkugel Wooden Music Box is a source of relaxation and visual beauty proudly crafted for your nightstand, coffee table, desk, or kitchen counter.
