Aukko Glass Bowl

It’s a simple vessel, but it’s an unusual container that looks like it’s floating.

The Aukko Glass Bowl from Sugahara of Japan is designed with a thicker base and a shorter, thinner gap layer beneath it, making it appear that the bowl is floating above the surface where it sits.

And because of the unique gap between layers, it’s easier to lift, hold and balance the bowl.

Sugahara has produced well-designed glassware of unsurpassed quality and beauty since 1932 in their Tokyo Manufactory.

Artisans individually handcraft Sugahara glassware and each crafted piece is one of a kind. The item you receive may look slightly different from what you see online. A few small bubbles or lines may occur due to the nature of the glass material and process.

Each Aukko Glass Bowl is sold separately, so mix and match – or not – to create your own unique set.
