Flyte Levitating Light

Flyte is a levitating light bulb that hovers by magnetic levitation and is powered through the air.

With Flyte, the lightbulb has been set free designed in Sweden, the Flyte base is made of quarter-sawn oak, ash and walnut wood finishes. Flyte looks good, feels good, and will last a long time. It uses energy-efficient LEDs rated at about 50,000 hours. That’s 12 hours a day for 11 years!

The magic works using an electromagnet and a wireless transmitter hidden inside the wooden base, which works in tandem with another magnet and a wireless receiver inside the bulb.

To turn the light on or off, simply tap the wooden base.
